So its game week the most exciting week of the year for us football people, here at the high school level everyone is starting fresh: the goals are in place, everything is ready to go, everyone’s record is equal and the hopes are high for a successful football season. Congratulations if you’re a head coach and the excitement has begun, that’s means your past all the planning, all the hard work and its time to enjoy the season. Yes, the work will continue, problems will present themselves, but I’m telling you take a step back and just enjoy the season this is what you work for every year, don’t let all the side issue take away your joy for the game, the players, the fans and your coaches. Things may not work out the way you expected this season but it’s a learning experience and if you don’t learn to enjoy some form of the process you will burn yourself out!

For me this is the time for the year to enjoy the Friday Night atmosphere of game day, if you did it right and followed our process of building a football program your games have become a community event. Take in the atmosphere, let the outside issues go, enjoy the game, the x’s & o’s, the competition, THIS IS YOUR PASSION-ENJOY THE RIDE.
